Our Approach

  • Children playing with toy roller coaster on green carpet in classroom with books and educational materials.

    Child-Centered Learning Environment

We create a welcoming classroom filled with natural elements that inspire curiosity and creativity. Our space is designed to be both beautiful and functional, with materials that children can easily explore on their own. We focus on hands-on learning, offering open-ended materials and resources that spark imagination and encourage children to discover, create, and learn at their own pace.

  • Children playing in a playground with chairs, hoops, and a slide, surrounded by a wood chip ground and a chain-link fence in the background.

    Emergent Curriculum

Our curriculum is shaped by the interests and ideas of the children. We believe in letting their natural curiosity guide their learning. Through hands-on exploration, children take the lead in their learning journey, with plenty of opportunities for self-directed discovery. We also celebrate the changing seasons and the beauty of nature, weaving these into projects and activities that connect children with the world around them.

    Multi-Sensory Experiences

We believe in learning through all the senses! Children explore new ideas by touching, seeing, and hearing, using hands-on materials that make learning come alive. Our classrooms are full of art, music, and movement, encouraging kids to express themselves creatively. We also bring stories and imaginative play into daily activities, helping children engage in rich, sensory experiences that spark their imagination.

  • A music teacher and five young children in a classroom, playing hand drums and percussion instruments. The classroom has an alphabet display on the wall with colorful images, and a variety of drums and percussion instruments in the background.

    Teacher's Role

Our teachers are here to guide, support, and inspire each child on their learning journey. They observe and document each child’s growth, using these insights to create personalized learning experiences. We believe in nurturing a sense of wonder and connection to the world, weaving in routines, rhythms, and a deep appreciation for nature. The teacher's role is not just to teach, but to create a loving, supportive environment where every child feels valued and encouraged.

  • People, including children and adults, gather by a small creek in a forest, some children dip their feet in the water while adults look on.

    Parent Involvement

We believe that parents are key partners in a child’s learning journey. We encourage families to be actively involved in the process, sharing ideas and supporting their child’s growth both at school and at home. By connecting the wisdom of Montessori and Waldorf, we help parents understand and nurture their child’s development, creating a strong, supportive community for every child.
